We are ALIVE!
And we are missing you tremendously. It’s been quite some time since we hit your mailbox as we navigated through the state flood crisis. Not gonna lie guys, we can be honest with you, right? – we kind of dropped the bundle a bit, in survival mode, fairly heartbroken, and a lot lost. Since November 2022 things were changing fast, there were many unknowns, the flow report kept increasing, and our family’s livelihood was at serious risk.
We’ve had the state premier visit and speak with us, we have kept 10 houseboats safe, we started a small cleaning business to retain our amazing cleaning team, we have lost an unimaginable amount of money just as we recovered from COVID, and we have tinny’d along lock 5 road & touched the underside of Paringa bridge from the water!
BUT we are safe, our kids are healthy, our home is fine AND it looks like we will be reopening this MARCH!! …And breathe. 😌

We’ve had many messages of support and thoughts, surprises in our post office box with thoughtful gifts, we’ve had loyal families booking holidays for the future in support, and even groups offering to come to the Riverland to help us get sh*t done!!

As mentioned, our family-run small business has taken a monster financial hit. If you are thinking of taking a houseboat holiday with your loved ones in 2023, 2024, or 2025 please book with us! The sooner the better as we have 4 months worth of deferrals being placed within this time frame – we’d hate to disappoint with lack of availability.
